  • Excellent meat!! Brisket was very tender and delicious. Side dishes and cocktails were also tasty. Portions are big and enough for a person with side dishes. Staff were welcoming and the restaurant was nice. We sat at the bar and could have our dinner.

  • The food here is out of this world. The brisket just melts in your mouth and the ribs are literally falling from the bone. Such a cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere.

  • We are four Texans intrigued by finding this barbecue joint in Amsterdam…and it was surprisingly good!!! The four of us got the “spread” and the brisket was so good we ordered another one. This is a great Dutch take on the barbecue and my teenage boys loved the food. Also a note on the dessert - the lemon cake was SO good!!!!! We might have to come back next time we’re in town!

  • small place (reserve well ahead), living room vibe. We were greeted with big smiles. 5 persons, we ordered two sharing menus @88 euro per plate so we could try 6 mains and 6 sides. The brisket, salmon and beans sides were the absolute highlights. Homemade table sauce complemented the ribs nicely. Cocktails were lovely also. will certainly come back.

  • Excellent experience. I’ve never had smoked meat like this and it was so delicious and tender. Also every single side was amazing. Our server was younger but super helpful and nice. Very good stuff guys. Will definitely be coming back.

  • Proper smoked meat - big, bold, smoky flavors done right. Small spot with limited seating, best to book in advance. We had the spread (brisket, ribs, pulled pork, potato salad, mac & cheese, meaty barbecued beans). All good, but brisket and beans stood out as my favorites.

  • Food: the main brisket was a tad dry and I wasn’t too impressed with the sides, but the rib, the burnt ends and the beans were delicious. It’s clear that these recipes are created by an American (or someone who lived there) and this spot is as good as it will get in Amsterdam. Service and atmosphere: this is where i’m just a bit disappointed. With a menu like this, I wish there was just a bit more of an American warmth and feel in the place. Not a single staff member was American and the restaurant itself just feels plain and uninspired. No American flags? No country music? No big warm welcome or attentive staff? Say what you want about Americans but it’s moments like these where I would love their hospitality and friendliness! Whoever owns this place has done a great job with the food, but why not lean into the American theme a bit more? ???????? At the very least train your staff to ‘pretend’ they are nice, cause the typical Amsterdam attitude doesn’t rhyme with this type of food - or these prices for that matter.
